You have no idea what you are talking about! 'Dreamgirls' didn't win because it was a trashy, cliched film with average performances and even worse music. And 'Little Miss Sunshine' was certainly not an "oscar-type" film. BUT 'The Departed' certainly was! 'Little Miss Sunshine' was sooooooo much fresher and better than 'The Departed', and the Academy did what it does almost every year (with the exception of 'The Return of the King' and several others): it awarded typically American films!
